Cam update:
Just got word that Sparky graciously offered to purchase a new cam for the Dunedin nest complete with microphone. It is expected to arrive the end of this week and then the IT department will configure it and then facilities will be notified to schedule a bucket truck to put it up on the pole. If all goes well, we should have the streaming back up in 2-3 weeks.....possibly sooner if it can be worked out! - Jean

Pesällä Pinella ja Stirling hautovat ainakin yhtä munaa. Kamera ei vielä toimi, mutta on tulossa! FB:ssä lisätietoa ja kuvia.
Kameran asennus pesälle epäonnistui! Yrittävät kuoriutumisvaiheen jälkeen. Löysin LG:n sivuilta tiedon:

When they guys went to install the cam they were attacked by most likely Stirling and had to call off the cam installation. There may be a window later that would work for install.
Well, I don’t think they should disturb during incubation because it could be a violation. I would suggest waiting until after hatch and brooding and then try again so we at least catch mid-season. I just don’t think the bucket truck can work on Stirling’s schedule and since the osprey eggs have a such a narrow range of temperature that they must be kept in I think it would be better not to risk her coming up off the eggs. Not that she will do that easily… but it will be worse if she fails."

Kamera toimii Floridassa ja Pinella on nähty pesällä!

Sain kuvattua sääksen Floridassa, mutta se htsiläinen ei pysykään kuvassa, vaiks mä luulin et pysähtyy. Käykää pesällä.
Oikein olet marksaa nähnyt! Naaras Pinella tuli jo marraskuussa pesälle ja uros Stirling on nähty pesällä 27.12. Toivottavasti pesän rakentaminen alkaa pian.
