© Montgomeryshire Wildlife TrustWE HAVE A BOY AND A GIRL!
Bobby Mawr is a boy, ring number Blue 490, and he weighs 1600g. We've called him DYSYNNI.
Bobby Bach is a girl, ring number Blue 491 and she weighs 1690g. We've named her YSTWYTH.
Despite being four days younger, Ystwyth already weighs 90g (+6%) more than her brother - which is exactly what you'd expect.
Thank you for all your name suggestions and thanks to Tony Cross for another professional ringing operation.
A blog, a Posh Pete video and the ringing video will be coming your way in the coming days, but for now, say 'Hello' to Dysynni (left) and his 'big' younger sister Ystwyth

Dysynni (left) looks up to his younger, but bigger sister Ystwyth.
Note again the slight colour differences of the iris.... male ospreys do, on average, tend to have darker eye colour. This is particularly evident in the carolinensis race in North America.
The ringing video editing has started but it will be the end of next week probably by the time we get all the footage in; it'll be worth it
