Belle and Liberty, Bald Eagles ~ Good Luck for Nesting 2011 !

First Egg came yesterday!

About the Nest : The eagle nest is located approximately 75 miles from Washington, D.C. on the campus of The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Services' NCTC (National Conservation Training Center).

The campus is in Shepherdstown, West Virginia, along the Potomac River.

Two eggs. Luck to the nest!

Two eggs and snow, brooding continues...

About 20 brooding days behind.

[Annie]

Today.


About 30 days incubation behind, so the next few days we might have a baby bald eagle there.

[Annie]

35 full days incubation. Mom placed the grass around herself as ensuring a safe
hide for coming baby.

Waiting takes time, have to stretch a little.

Good Sunday Morning, Belle, maybe today!...



Belle made eggrolling in way there were still two unbroken eggs.

Libbyyy, would you bring some fish here!

Yep, two intact eggs, Belle listens...

Just before taken, think mom is listening and looking after eggs more often now.

Mom just was faster than my cam finger so,

Even a few hours ago Belle was calling Liberty.
