In the evening Odin sky dance sang and worked very purposly in the nest.


This was the case (sky dance singing very loudly) also about an hour ago. Then he flew to the nest.

And again sky singing is heard! And to the nest afterwards.

No one else expressed herself. He flew off.

O'boy, again!!

Strange things going on. EJ is absent since about noon yesterday. Odin is going mad sky dancing. I am thinking that if a new female came along he would say...do you want to share a nest?

This guy is a very determined to nest again this summer.

Things looks better now: EJ is back in the nest and the couple has mated several times. Odin has fulfilled the nest center with a yellow moss - so Odin like. .

EJ and Odin have been quite a lot at the nest this afternoon, but the situations there don't look stresless.


? There was none fish.

Things seems much happier on the Loch Garten nest this morning. Normality seems to have resumed.

Wonder if an egg is due soon?

Something strange happened recently. Odin was singing in the sky, EJ in the nest asking demandingly fish (i think), Odin came with his fish, but he decided (?) then not to give it to EJ. They had to fight for it, Odin flew off with fish. A lesson?

EJ today before noon, making and caring of the nest cup.. exciting to see when the first egg is laid.

EJ was very pleased for a big whole fish she got from Odin. Odin seemed also pleased staying in the nest - now he brought more yellow moss. ... as if they both were soon waiting a first egg arriving?

Well the egg duly arrived at about 5.15pm BST yesterday.

However Odin was a bit suspicious and seemed to think about kicking the egg out of the nest.

Yes, he really was suspicious Acting like a news agent, concentrating only on nose news In the beginning Odin even seemed to shake his head lightly
